A dinner lady has been sacked for accidentally serving non-halal meat to Muslim students at a multi-faith school.
The incident outraged parents at the 'halal-only' Moseley School in Birmingham, and they have forced the headmaster to apologise for 'insulting' their faith.
The member of staff has been dismissed after the 'unintentional error' on December 12 last year recently came to light.
All 1,400 students at Moseley school are served halal meat, regardless of their religion.
It has not been specified what type of meat was served, but the person responsible for serving the food was dismissed following a disciplinary hearing last Monday.

All wells dry, or why there is no Islamic guilt
Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al al-Sheikh, recently said that girls are ready for marriage by age 10 or 12. In March, he had declared, “All churches in the Arabian Peninsula must be destroyed.”
After countless acts of Islamic terror in last few years, one would have expected some introspection by Muslim clerics and leaders about the cardinal principles of their religion, some feeling of guilt. There are Western guilt, American guilt, German guilt, capitalist guilt, Hindu guilt, etc. But where is Muslim guilt? After all, this is a religion that spread by the sword, decimated civilizations, killed and enslaved millions, and enchained women. The handful of Muslims who acknowledge these facts are ostracized and often accused of apostasy―a crime punishable by death in Islamic law.
While guilt-peddling is a despicable activity―and is a favorite of Leftists―guilt must be seen as a product and function of the core ideas, ideals, mores, and values of a civilization, nation, community, or any other collectivity. The play of these ideas, ideals, mores, and values in collective consciousness causes moral progress and decline, remorse and hubris, guilt and unthinking indulgence.
Western guilt has been associated with the chief tenets of Christian theology. But the root of guilt may not always be Christian. Consider the case of the ancient Indian Emperor, Ashok Maurya (r. 274-232 BC). He felt “deep remorse” at the bloodshed caused by the Kalinga War (261-62 BC)―a feeling that brought sea change in his policies and administration, mellowing the warrior king to adopt nonviolence as official policy, focus on public works, promote education, and generally make public life more genial. This was a far cry from the spitefulness that was the hallmark of the earlier phase of his rule, for which he acquired the epithet Ashok the Fierce.
Over two millennia later, owing to its exposure to the grand Enlightenment ideas, Hindu society underwent a metamorphosis. The social reform movement in the nineteenth century attacked caste barriers and helped emancipate women. A byproduct of the turbulence in social psyche was Hindu guilt. This resulted in, among other things, the unrestrained expansion of affirmative action for the so-called lower castes and a draconian anti-dowry law.
Reforms in Indian society happened because the polity, society, and intelligentsia of India accepted that there were communities (Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the official parlance) which had been historically discriminated against. There were social, cultural, and even religious factors responsible for the discrimination and, therefore, they needed protection and official patronage for uplift. Similarly, there were multifarious factors responsible for discrimination against women.
After some time, however, guilt, the illegitimate child of heightened consciousness, took over the reins of public discourse and political action. The denouement? Caste-baiting, much like race-baiting in the West, has become a tool in the hands of most retrograde politicians in India. In Indian society, caste distinctions are getting blurred because of natural integration, economic development, and the imperatives of modernization―and caste-perpetuating politicians are trying to divide it.
In the case of Islam, however, neither is consciousness ennobled nor is there any danger of guilt pangs. There is finality about this religion: Muhammad, as the ‘Seal of the Prophets,’ was the last and greatest prophet; the Koran is the word of Allah; the Hadith are the sayings and teachings of the Prophet. There is no moral perplexity, no doctrinal ambiguity, no theological confusion. No scope for questions about the fundamentals―and frightful retribution for doing so. There is a clear correlation between human progress and asking questions; a civilization in which questions are not asked or tolerated ossifies. In Islam, questions are not asked and answers are not given; instead, the faithful get prescriptions and proscriptions which they are supposed to follow in letter and spirit.
Now, Burkeans like Russell Kirk also favor prescription, but individual liberty is never absent in Western conservatism. In Islam, on the other hand, there is no scope for human freedom. Etymologically, ‘Islam’ means submission―that is, submission to the will of Allah. And it is Muhammad and the clergy who make the will of Allah evident.
This submission is not just a matter of theology; it permeates Muslim customs, traditions, social conventions, cultural norms―in short, it permeates Islamic modus vivendi. Islam is a complete world in itself, with every aspect of the life of the faithful tightly regulated and monitored, even the behavior in bedroom and toilet. It is also a totally closed world. Muslim clergy ensures that it remains a closed world, much to the suffering of millions of Muslims who favor liberty and openness in life, culture, and religion.
At the heart of the problem is the Salafist school which preaches the purest and most unchanging form of Islam. Financed by oil money and promoted by the most reactionary mullahs in India, Salafism frown at even a hint of freethinking and assimilation with other non-Islamic cultural and spiritual traditions. Indian schools of Islam dislike Salafism.
With its intellectual tradition having become pedantic and society stultified, India was also somewhat closed in the early nineteenth century. But its intellectualism, though stodgy and barren, had not been replaced by a totalitarian weltanschauung, as was the case in what became the Islamic world.
Like invasive species (e.g., water hyacinth) which unbalance ecology and destroy diversity of a habitat, Islam dispenses with the underpinnings, wellsprings, and fonts of pre-Islamic and non-Islamic cultures and civilizations. The pagan Santa Claus became a Christian icon; local deities and customs blended with the great tradition of Hinduism; but the advent of Islam meant the demise or marginalization of all that was pre- or non-Islamic. Worse, it is considered blasphemous to seek solace in anything other than Islamic: since Islam is the absolute and only truth, a journey outside it is anathema. Or so the Salafists believe; few Muslims dare to challenge them.
So, with all wells dry, contact with the external world forbidden, and radical exegesis practically ruled out, the only reservoir left to draw intellectual and spiritual sustenance from is that of pure Islam, i.e., Salafist Islam. It is a well-known fact that Salafism opposes speculative theology (kalam). The religion of the desert causes cultural, spiritual, and philosophical desertification. Neither heightened consciousness nor guilt can grow in a desert.

Execution by stoning
In Iran, stoning a person to death is not against the law: using the wrong stone is.
"The size of the stone used in stoning shall not be too large to kill the convict by one or two throws and at the same time shall not be too small to be called a stone."Article 104, Iranian Penal Code
UNDER IRANIAN LAW, STONING IS MANDATORY FOR MEN AND WOMEN CONVICTED OF 'ADULTERY WHILST MARRIED'.
Stoning is purposefully designed to cause maximum suffering, and is a brutal and inhumane punishment.
Bound, wrapped in shrouds and buried in a pit with head and shoulders above ground, victims are likely to survive for between 20 minutes and two hours from when the first stone thrown draws blood.
The Iranian Penal Code describes in chillingly clinical detail exactly how a person should be stoned to death:
Who are the victims of stoning?
Stoning is mandatory for both men and women convicted of 'adultery whilst married' under Iranian law.Those sentenced to death are frequently poor or otherwise marginalised from society. Most of those sentenced to death are women for the simple reason that they are disadvantaged in the criminal justice system, and face wide-ranging discrimination in law, particularly in regard to marriage and divorce. However, in recent years more men are known to have been stoned to death than women.
How common is stoning in Iran?
Amnesty International knows of at least six people who have been stoned to death since 2002.A further 14 individuals - four men and ten women - are at risk of death by stoning in Iran right now, although several cases are still under review and alternative sentences may be imposed. One of these is Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, whose case has generated a great deal of international attention and who remains at risk.
The most common method of execution in Iran is hanging, and hundreds of men, women and children are put to death by this method every year. Since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, we have documented at least 77 stonings, although the true figure could be higher, as we were not able to record figures for the years between 1979 and 1984.
Is it legal?
In 2002, a moratorium was declared on stoning in Iran. In 2009, the Legal and Judicial affairs Committee recommended that stoning be removed from the Iranian Penal Code. And yet still this practice continues.The Iranian authorities are currently reviewing the country's Penal Code - including whether execution by stoning should be retained. We are campaigning for stoning to be removed from the Code.
Iran is a state party to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The government is therefore legally bound to observe the provisions of this treaty and to ensure that they are fully reflected in the country's laws and practices. Death by stoning violates Articles 6 (right to life) and 7 (prohibition of torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment) of the Covenant.

‘Pakistan schools teach Hindu hatred’
ISLAMABAD || 9th Nov 2011 || Dawn News: Text books in Pakistani schools foster prejudice and intolerance of Hindus and other religious minorities, while most teachers view non-Muslims as ”enemies of Islam,” according to a study by a US government commission released on Wednesday.
The findings indicate how deeply ingrained hard-line Islam is in Pakistan and help explain why militancy is often supported, tolerated or excused in the country.
”Teaching discrimination increases the likelihood that violent religious extremism in Pakistan will continue to grow, weakening religious freedom, national and regional stability, and global security,” said Leonard Leo, the chairman of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom.
Pakistan was created in 1947 as a homeland for the Muslims of South Asia and was initially envisaged as a moderate state where minorities would have full rights.
But three wars with mostly Hindu India; support for militants fighting Soviet-rule in Afghanistan in the 1980s; and the appeasement of hard-line clerics by weak governments seeking legitimacy have led to a steady radicalisation of society.
Religious minorities and those brave enough to speak out against intolerance have often been killed, seemingly with impunity, by militant sympathizers.
The commission warned that any significant efforts to combat religious discrimination, especially in education, would ”likely face strong opposition” from hardliners.
The study reviewed more than 100 textbooks from grades 1-10 from Pakistan’s four provinces.
Researchers in February this year visited 37 public schools, interviewing 277 students and teachers, and 19 madrases, where they interviewed 226 students and teachers.
The Islamisation of textbooks began under the US-backed rule of army dictator Gen. Zia-ul-Haq, who courted Islamists to support his rule.
In 2006, the government announced plans to reform the curriculum to address the problematic content, but that has not been done, the study said.
Pakistan’s Islamist and right-wing polity would likely oppose any efforts to change the curriculum, and the government has shown no desire to challenge them on the issue.
The report found systematic negative portrayals of minorities, especially Hindus and to a lesser extent to Christians.
Hindus make up more than one per cent of Pakistan’s 180 million people, while Christians represent around two per cent. Some estimates put the numbers higher.
There are also even smaller populations of Sikhs and Buddhists.
”Religious minorities are often portrayed as inferior or second-class citizens who have been granted limited rights and privileges by generous Pakistani Muslims, for which they should be grateful,” the report said.
”Hindus are repeatedly described as extremists and eternal enemies of Islam whose culture and society is based on injustice and cruelty, while Islam delivers a message of peace and brotherhood, concepts portrayed as alien to the Hindu.”
The books don’t contain many specific references to Christians, but those that ”that do exist seem generally negative, painting an incomplete picture of the largest religious minority in Pakistan,” the report said.
Attempts to reach Pakistan’s education minister were not successful.
The textbooks make very little reference to the role played by Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in the cultural, military and civic life of Pakistan, meaning ”a young minority student will thus not find many examples of educated religious minorities in their own textbooks,” the report said.
”In most cases historic revisionism seems designed to exonerate or glorify Islamic civilisation, or to denigrate the civilisations of religious minorities,” the report said.
”Basic changes to the texts would be needed to present a history free of false or unsubstantiated claims which convey religious bias.”
The researchers also found that the books foster a sense that Pakistan’s Islamic identity is under constant threat.
”The anti-Islamic forces are always trying to finish the Islamic domination of the world,” read one passage from social studies text being taught to Grade 4 students in Punjab province, the country’s most populated.
”This can cause danger for the very existence of Islam. Today, the defense of Pakistan and Islam is very much in need.”
The report states that Islamic teachings and references were commonplace in compulsory text books, not just religious ones, meaning Pakistan’s Christians, Hindus and other minorities were being taught Islamic content.
It said this appeared to violate Pakistan’s constitution, which states that students should not have to receive instruction in a religion other than their own.
The attitudes of the teachers no doubt reflect the general intolerance in Pakistan.
The 2011 Pew Research Center study found the country is the third most intolerant in the world, but because of the influence they have, they are especially worrisome.
Their views were frequently nuanced and sometimes contradictory.

Earlier they have fixed this target within 2020. This one can be somewhat funny to the reluctant and ignorant people of India under a political influence of absurd Indo-Pak friendship. But, Pakistan apparently has come with some new plans to destabilize India by influencing some developments in the north, west and southern parts of the country, as part of its multi-pronged strategy. Terrorists who were caught by Indian Security Force in Kashmir revealed this information. ISI (Pakistan’s intelligence agency) is the main culprit behind.
The map targets North India, and shows the region as a shadow of ‘Islamic Republic of Pakistan’ by 2020. It also projects South India as disputed territory and treats the Indian neighbors China (China has the responsibility of doing everything for Pakistan), Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka as their neighbouring countries. They also considered Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India as Islands of Bangladesh The map also indicates their desire of changing Mumbai’s topography, turning the South Asia’s economic capital Mumbai (Bombay) into ‘Muslimabad’ by 2012.

An article in the Power Politics magazine says that the ISI has passed two maps to the Pakistan Army to increase the moral of the troops by giving them a target to break and merge India in Pakistan forming Islamic Republic of Pakistan by2020. This will somehow increase the confidence of the public of Pakistan also who always dream of troubled India.
The terrorists are using alternative routes to India. From Pakistan they go to Dubai, Bangkok, Nepal and Bangladesh to enter India. The write up further says that ISI has been attempting to cover India both from sea and land routes just like the Chinese strings of pearl theory. ISI is already pushing fake Indian currency in to the Indian market thus creating a hole in the Indian economy.
